Quick Launch Update

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to take a moment to post a quick update. Green Power Easy is now publicly available and sales have started off with a bang. With that, I’m quite busy getting some new affiliate tools setup that will help you earn even more money. I will be making a video post in a day or two covering these new tools, and new bonus structure.
Just to let everyone know now though:
Last night the emails began going out to prelaunch subscribers. Only the leads that have been subsribed for a while have gotten their discount links so far. In other words, leads you’ve sent within the last week and a half won’t have their links just yet.
The reasoning behind this is that we felt the free videos  do a good job of preselling the product. Those emails will go out first and then the discount emails will follow.
If you were one of those who sent a good number of pre-launch subscribers, you can expect to begin seeing sales over the next week and then after that. We will be contacting these subscribers over and over with different specials, and building even more excitement, until they decide to become members and not just subscribers.

Steps to Success Part 3 – Social Networking as a Promotional Tool

Over the last two posts I’ve given you the knowledge you need to promote Green Power Easy with both paid traffic and free traffic from search engines. Today it’s time to take your knowledge a little further and begin marketing through the social networks.
Social Networking, can make for excellent promotions and lots of free traffic, but a little care must be taken with the way you promote. You will want to be an active participant in the network, and your promotions should be less direct (no heavy sales pitches). By promoting this way you build trust, and you also can gain the abillity to promote it further by asking your friends on the social network to share the idea you just shared.
For example you could take your promotions further by sending your “I just found out about Green Power Easy” post on Facebook to all of your Facebook friends. You can also ask all of your friends to share it with their friends. This viral aspect of social networks can make for a pile of free traffic using your affiliate link, and in turn make a good number of sales for you.
As I said the key to doing this the right way is to be subtle with your promotions, and to be involved in the network you are promoting Green Power Easy on.

After you watch the video, take a moment to follow our new Green Power Easy Profile on Twitter, and become a fan of our new page on Facebook. Once you’ve done that, use your current profiles on the social networking sites to begin taking your own promotions further. Get involved in other social networks to enable yourself to really make use of social networking as a promotional tool.
One Note on Social Networks: One thing I wanted to note that I forgot to state in the videos. I know some of you are using the training given here to help promote some of the other products you sell besides Green Power Easy. When promoting anything on a social network, you should first decide that the product is worth promoting.
In the case of Green Power Easy, I’m an experienced marketer who can tell you that this particular product far surpasses the quality of the average Clickbank product. When it comes to promoting anything else using tools like Facebook, etc, you should first ensure that it is a product you yourself would want to buy. After all with a site like Facebook you’re promoting the product to your friends.

I also wanted to cover something else today. With the official launch less than a week away, here at Green Power Easy we are beginning to promote our product heavily. In fact, over the next week or two I will be exposing over 2 million people to our product and our site. As an affiliate of Green Power Easy, you can benifit greatly from my promtotions, but you want to ensure that everything you’ve put in place is perfect, and that your review site is working as expected.
I’ve been watching some of the review sites going up, and some of them are excellent, but there are a few that need some work (ie missing affiliate links, fonts are off etc). To learn how you can benefit from my promotions, and to help you make the most of our launch, take a moment to watch this video. Once you have, take 5 minutes to perfect your review site. Doing so will ensure you get paid for the customers you refer to Green Power Easy, and that more of your visitors click through to buy the product.
In the video I show an exceptional example of another affiliates site, where not only has he taken the time to ensure everything looks right, but he’s also added some little elements that will help to increase conversions.

Steps to Success Part 2 – Search Engine Optmization

Today I want to build upon what we covered the other day, and help you guys plan for long term success.
You have your PPC campaigns running from our video the other day, now it’s time to build long term success by building search engine rankings for terms related to green power.
Before you watch the training videos, watch this one first.
The way things are growing we are managing to build so much buzz that every affiliate stands to make a pile of money on launch day. If you haven’t started your promotions yet, you should be.
I’ve said before that a product launch makes it easy to make money as an affiliate, and with the amount of buzz we’re building as a group, this promises to be a huge launch where you will be able to make big $!
Prelaunch Buzz:

Okay so now on to the training. Watch all three videos below and then go out and copy what I’m doing. By doing so you’ll be setting yourself up to make 2 – 5 sales a day from free traffic for years to come. SEOing a site takes a little time, but by taking the steps laid out in these videos you’ll be positioning yourself to earn $100 – $300 per day for years to come.
I use one of my own sites as an example in these videos. I wanted to show you all that I’m not just saying you should do this – I do it too, and it works!
I have a site that is less than two weeks old and already getting traffic from search engines. By launch day I’ll have it to the point where I’m getting 100+ free visitors every day. To put that into numbers that mean something – I’ll be making 2 – 3 sales every day for just a little time put in now!

Steps to Success Part 1 – Your PPC Training

This is the first of several posts that I plan to make to help all of you succeed. When it comes to affiliate marketing taking certains steps, in a certain order, will help you to find huge success both in the short term and in the long run.
Your first step is to consider Pay Per Click advertising. In this post you’ll find a 30 minute video that teaches you how to do keyword research, how to set up an ad campaign with Google Adwords, and how to optimize that campaign.
I know many of you have started your ad campaigns already. Be sure to send me your conversion code (see the video if you don’t know what that means) so that your leads will be recorded in your own AdWords account.

Important Note: In the first video I said that you should be linking directly to Green Power Easy before launches. Linking directly to Green Power Easy is the simplest way to do it, but there is two other options that I want to talk about.
Option 1: Link to free-report.php
You could also link to the free-report.php file on your review site. If I was doing this myself I would add a video to the page to increase conversions. Since my voice is all over the Green Power Easy site, in this case I can’t do it for you. There are free video recording tools, like Jing Project, that allow you to record screen video.
Open up your preview copy of Green Power Easy and create a video talking about how easy it is to create solar panels and wind turbines using the guide. Embed the video in free-report.php and then direct all of your traffic to that page. If you need a place to host the video you might try screencast.com.
Option 2: Link to your review page now
As a final option you could send traffic directly to the main page of your review site. The disadvantage to doing this before launch is that you will probably get a few less leads. On the other hand, the advantage is that you will make sales of the second and third products on the page. This can completely offset your ad costs now, so for those with a smaller ad budget this may be the best option (you’ll still be building leads for Green Power Easy, and you’ll make a little money before launch day).
I know this works because I’ve already made three sales of the second product on my own review page from the traffic that I’ve been building for free (see my next video update).

Paid Blog Posts are a simple way to gain search engine rankings quickly, and to get high quality links back to your site. As an affiliate you can easily use these services to build traffic quickly. Simply post a job on one of the paid blogging sites, and have bloggers write about the free report available from Green Power Easy. Make keyword specific links back to your site. You could link to the free-report.php file or to the main review page of the site.

Taking Google’s Front Page

Sometimes success isn’t about the biggest ad budget or the largest mailing list, and although both of those things will help, when it comes to a launch in particular it’s the people who take the top spots in the Search Engines that often win launch contests.
I’ve personally been involved in dozens of product launches, and I can tell you that yes you should put up your Google Ads, MSN Ads, and Yahoo Ads. But, you should also work to put yourself in the position to succeed.
Let’s talk about how to do just that. Really, it’s all about making a plan and spending a little time each day from now until launch (and after as well) to ensure you take top spot.
To walk through this example let’s look at just one keyword. If I put the term make solar panels through the Google Keyword Tool – it get’s 33,100 searches per month.  It’s a fairly competitive term, but if we could gain front page rankings for a term like that then we would make some serious sales.

Imagine for a second – if we assume a conversion rate of 2% when we send traffic to our review page, and we assume for a second that we can take 3rd spot in Google for that term – here’s what we stand to earn:
  1. If we got our link in third spot on Google we’d expect about 30% of the clicks, or around 10,000 visitors.
  2. 10,000 Visitors at a 2% Conversion Rate = about 200 sales.
  3. 200 Sales of Green Power Easy x $42 per sale = $8400 for that month.
  4. Green Power Easy also includes a subscription component. If half of those 200 customers signed up for Green Power Easy TV then you can add $1500 in monthly income.
From that if we could optimize for that term, wouldn’t it be worth it? Of course it would!
To begin with, let’s just look at what happens when we search that term in Google:

There are a couple of things that you should notice about the screen shot above. In third and fourth place (where I’ve made the red arrows) you’ll see an ezine article, and two youtube videos.
In other words it isn’t the guy who spent hours optimizing his site that’s got the front page in Google – it’s someone who took 20 minutes to write (most likely crappy) ezine article and three people who recorded five minute videos and posted them to youtube.
Here’s the big secret: there are literally hundreds of keywords related to solar power, wind power, green energy, wind turbines, etc, etc – where you’ll find exactly the same thing. These are the types of keywords you should focus on when writing your articles, when posting your videos to youtube, when blogging, and when modifying your review pages.
Yes you should be running ad campaigns, but AdWords isn’t the only marketing method you should use. Article marketing, video marketing, and blogging can all get you on Google’s front page quickly!
